Deutsch: Eine frisch geschlüpfte, noch völlig farblose männliche Speer-Azurjungfer (Coenagrion hastulatum) im Ahlenmoor, nördliches Niedersachsen. Beachte den Glanz der noch aushärtenden Flügel und Komplexaugen. Ausgefärbt wird sie die für Azurjungfern typische blau-schwarze Färbung aufweisen. Das Exemplar scheidet am Hinterleib Flüssigkeit aus, eine Verhaltensweise frisch geschlüpfter Libellen. Ob diese Flüssigkeit zum Entfalten des Körpers und der Flügel beim Schlupf diente, ist noch unklar. English: A straight hatched, still very colorless male of the Northern Damselfly (Coenagrion hastulatum) in the Ahlenmoor, a peatland in northern Lower Saxony, Germany. Consider the gloss of the not yet completely hardened wings and Compound eyes, which refer to freshly hatched individuals. The ripe damselfly will show a blue-black colouring, typical for the genus Coenagrion. The specimen weeps liquid at the abdomen, a behavior of freshly slipped dragonflies. Whether this liquid is necessary for unfolding body and wing, is still unclear. |
